Refresher Digital Training for School Computer Lab Technicians and Patrons in Kamuli

A refresher digital training was conducted for school computer lab technicians and patrons from schools across Kamuli. A total of 25 school computer lab patrons participated in the programme.

During the training, the Giebink Technology Center served as a role model for participating schools by demonstrating good practices in the management and use of computer laboratory facilities.

Key training outcomes

• Five schools learned how to maintain and manage records of computer laboratory equipment.
• Seven school patrons demonstrated their understanding of software installation, particularly the installation of an operating system.
• Ten schools learned how to prepare monthly reports for their computer laboratories.
• All participating schools committed to formalising and strengthening computer clubs within their schools.

Overall, the refresher training equipped school computer lab patrons with practical skills to improve the management, maintenance, reporting and effective use of computer laboratories in their schools.
