After thirty-three years in education, twenty years as a classroom teacher, eight years as an Assistant Principal and Principal, and five years as Founder and CEO of Health Solutions Associates, I am pleased to be a Director of EdFund Uganda Foundation to support teachers and administrators in their quest to educate children in Uganda. Upon leaving public school administration in 2017, I founded Health Solutions Associates and designed and teach the H.E.A.R.T. Method of Self Care for teachers as a precise formula for revitalizing teachers’ and administrators’ energy, health, and passion for the work they love to do … TEACH! In 2019, I decided to join EdFund Uganda Foundation, a non-profit organization supporting schools in Eastern Uganda, by helping teachers to develop 21st century education curriculum via technology use with their students. This work has profoundly impacted me and my perspective on the importance of continuing to give to others. I have a B.S. in Health and Physical Education from the University of Vermont and a M. Ed from Springfield College with a focus in Athletic Administration. My advanced degree work is in Educational Leadership leading to my principal licensure, which I still hold. My passions as a health educator and school principal led me to where I am today … a person deeply concerned for the well being of teachers and administrators all over the world. I am very excited to be a part of the EdFund Uganda Foundation team bringing my experience and love for education to the schools in Eastern Uganda.
