Why Kamuli, Uganda?

Kamuli, Uganda is a district of 200,000 people located 90 miles northeast of Kampala, the national capital of Uganda.
The Soga people (heritage of eastern Uganda) are intelligent and ambitious, but Uganda lacks the wherewithal to fund infrastructure and school construction, educational resources and teacher development.
They are ingenious and able to survive with very little, but have no means to fulfill their thirst for knowledge and education.
Because the aid organization, KAPIDA (Kamuli Area Peoples Integral Development Association) is already “on the ground” working in what little ways they can with the limited funding they receive.
The world is our community and your donation will directly help your neighbor lift their family above the fray.

The future of Uganda and Africa is inextricably linked to improving family health, sanitation and education in the rural areas.

Look at the faces of a people determined to fulfill the promise that education is the best long-term strategy to combat poverty and disease and to secure the future of their country.
Look at men, women and children rising at dawn and walking home at dusk in the daily struggle to feed and educate their children, yet finding time to sing and play and cherish the few opportunities they have.
Uganda lacks the capacity to fund school construction, educational resources and teacher development to fulfill its citizens thirst for knowledge and education. EdFund Uganda Foundation has teamed with the local NGO, Kamuli Area Peoples Integral Development Association (KAPIDA), to assure that all donations will be directly invested into the local community.
